PSYCLE 45

This class is taught by:

Elcin Riza

Finding herself at a personal and physical standstill, Elcin knew it was time for a real change. She was looking for something different and was tired of the big-box gym scene — always finding the environment sterile and impersonal.

Elcin walked into Psycle for the first time in January of 2012. She initially wanted to burn a ton of calories in a fun way, but she soon craved more. Attending multiple classes a week, she quickly realized this was the start of a personal journey on which she never imagined embarking.

Living with a “be where you are” attitude, Elcin found Psycle to be a true sanctuary where she was safe to let go. There was no judgment, just an undeniable energy. She was able to leave the noise of life outside the studio doors, lose herself in the moment and the rhythm of the music, and connect to lyrics she had heard before but never really felt. With the camaraderie and energy of the instructor and riders beside her, song after song, ride after ride, pedal stroke by pedal stroke, she has reached and even exceeded goals she once deemed unattainable. Today, she is the strongest physically, mentally and emotionally that she has ever been.

Elcin takes the Psycle stage as a certified Instructor. She rides with heart and soul. She has a passion for music and brings huge energy. In her classes you will hear a diverse mix of music from country to rock, from old school to the hottest hits of now. Her playlists are designed to enliven the body, inspire the mind and spirit, and always be fun. Elcin recognizes that everyone has different goals, and she encourages you to share — you don't have to go it alone. Join her for your ride as you embark on your own journey of change.

Maria Zemen

A lifelong soccer player, dance machine and all around fitness enthusiast, Psycle has given Maria the opportunity to channel her intensity and passion into helping her students achieve their mental and physical fitness goals. After two re-constructive knee surgeries took her out of the game she loved, Maria discovered indoor cycling as a perfect means to rehab her BODY, MIND and SOUL. “From the minute I climbed my first standing hill on the bike, I felt that competitive spirit come alive in me again. I couldn’t get enough.” Maria takes an encompassing approach when teaching on the bike incorporating seated and standing sprints, tricep dips, heavy hill climbs, oblique crunches, hovers, isolations and more. Energy and form permeate her rides. Incorporating a diverse mix of music that will keep you motivated and coming back for more, Maria plays everything from System of a Down to Shakira to Johnny Cash. You’ll find your BODY and MIND connection get stronger as you build strength and endurance on the bike.

Maria’s passion and intensity extend beyond the bike. She also teaches total body strength classes that focus on pushing you past your comfort zone while you build confidence and meet your fitness goals. Maria designs her strength routines to target all major muscle groups and provide various modification techniques for all fitness levels. In addition to using your own body weight to build strength, you’ll incorporate various “toys” that will work your muscles in a whole new way including: body bars, medicine balls, gliding discs, stability balls, bosu and more. “You have to keep your muscles guessing if you are going to get stronger and push yourself past that plateau point. It’s all about determination and change.”

Whether she’s leading you on the bike or kicking your butt at strength, you’ll find Maria’s energy, humor and passion will fuel your fire to reach new heights you never thought possible.

Jacob Holland

Drawn to the energy and pulsating beat of the music, Psycle drew Jacob through its doors a little over two years ago. 70 pounds and a whole lot of sweat later, he now guides others through their journey of self-discovery and motivation. Driven by the idea that anything can be accomplished in a dark room on a bike going nowhere, his passion and enthusiasm for every ride he leads resonates long after class ends.

Erin Stellato

It began in 2010…Erin started taking spin classes to cross train while preparing for a half marathon. It didn’t take long for spinning to become the preferred workout. With a background in Exercise Science and a love of coaching, teaching was the next logical step. Erin taught her first class in 2012, became a certified instructor in 2013, and hasn’t looked back. Whether you’re a beginner or a regular on the bike, her class will challenge you to get stronger – both physically and mentally. Expect anything and everything in terms of music, and don’t forget your weights. Clip in, drop in, and ride on.

You can follow Erin on Instagram (@ridefromtheinside) to stay inspired and keep current off the bike.

Jennifer Kryz

Jenn has been sharing her infectious energy and passion from the stage for over 7 years. Named Best of the West Fitness Instructor in 2013, she continues to engage her riders by inspiring them to work from the inside out because healthy minds breed healthy bodies. From Madonna to Beyonce to Marilyn Manson, you can be sure of two things, you will be sweating and dancing A LOT! She also guarantees you will have FUN and you will work HARD, demanding riders bring their A game each and every time.

You will get to the edge and discover one of two things….you will step off onto another platform or you will learn to fly.

Scott Sommers

If you only come for the great workout, you miss the point. Pay attention to the rhythm of the music while you get lost in the moment and begin to fix yourself from the inside out. The fundamentals of intention, focus and discipline come into play during your ride while you have the opportunity to practice taking control in your life one turn of the knob at a time.

Be inspired to achieve your potential during the ride in a welcoming environment of inclusion, sharing and effort. Positive energy from the universe and your classmates surrounds you as you make the decision in your life to take control and manifest happiness. Be careful what you wish for in this class because you just might get it...
A shorter but more intense riding experience. All the burn in less time (approx. 45 min ride + stretch).
